About UNSCC
Our Mission
| |
United Neighborhoods of Santa Clara County is a coalition of independent self-directed neighborhood associations and home-owner associations. Our mission is to promote the creation, development, preservation, and enhancement of healthy neighborhoods through education, providing members services / resources and community outreach. We are 100% volunteer managed and staffed and the level of available activities and services is completely dependent on our member association volunteer efforts.
All member association Officers, Directors and other leaders are requested to participate in UNSCC-Members email discussion group / web site. They receive important UNSCC meeting, administrative policies and procedures, annual conference, and other neighborhood / community announcements and information so as leaders they can inform or distribute the information to their neighborhood or home owner association members.
Member associations are responsible for furnishing UNSCC with current contact information for your officers, which can be easily done by clicking on the Update Information link on the left side of this web page.
If you are not a member of UNSCC Members email group please email execdir@unscc.org, with your name, association, leadership title, and phone number and we will send you an invitation to join the group.
UNSCC also has a free open public service neighborhood / community information web site " UNSCC-NEWS " that contains valuable neighborhood web information links and files at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/unscc-news/links Please inform your newsletter editor / webmaster about UNSCC-NEWS web site information and Link from your site to UNSCC-NEWS |

Neighborhood / UNSCC Volunteering
Each member association is expected to provide at least 32 hours ( 2 hours per month plus 8 hours for our Annual Conference ) of volunteer time per year to manage and staff UNSCC activities, annual conference and meetings. Many of our members provide hundreds of hours of volunteer time per year to support their association, multiple neighborhood projects, policy / procedure development committees and UNSCC's neighborhood education and community activities.
|
| |
Member associations benefit by networking with other UNSCC members and discussing what is the most efficient and effective methods to accomplish neighborhood activities and goals. Our regular meetings provide an opportunity to regularily meet other neighborhood and community leaders and activists and find new ideas and procedures that benefit your own association and neighbors.
|
| |
UNSCC also has a group of Internet web sites and email groups to foster communication between members on specific topics and provide relevent neighborhood information. You can participate in online dicussions or subscibe to neighborhood RSS news feeds.
